Wild Rose Xpress will take you away with the fervor of rolling banjo licks and Monroe style mandolin picking. From haunting 3 part harmony to old time fiddle tunes; this Calgary based band emanates their love to play music together.

This accomplished Bluegrass band has been playing together for six years and have played at several festivals throughout Alberta. These include Blueberry Bluegrass Festival, (Edmonton), Great Canadian Family Music Festival, Rombs Bluegrass Festival (Fairview), David Thompson Bluegrass Festival and Shady Grove Bluegrass Festival (Nanton). They have also performed at the Agrium Spruce Meadows Bluegrass Festival, Foothills Bluegrass Music Society, various Stampede Breakfasts, plus a variety of private functions.

Wild Rose Xpress recently released their 2nd CD, Grass Tracks,  which features original tunes written by the band members of Wild Rose Xpress.
 
Steeped in traditional bluegrass & new bluegrass, this fun loving group features: Sandy Hirth (guitar and lead vocals), Karl Lingwood (banjo, and resophonic guitar), Tim Babey ( mandolin), Randy Jones (fiddle) and Morgan Luchinski (bass) with everyone singing harmony vocals!
