Wild Rose Xpress will tantalize your bluegrass taste buds with the fervor of rolling banjo licks and Monroe style mandolin picking. From haunting ballads to old time fiddle tunes; this Calgary based band emanates their love to play music together.

This accomplished Bluegrass band has been playing together for five years and have played at several festivals throughout Alberta, including Blueberry Bluegrass Festival, (Edmonton), Rombs Bluegrass Festival (Fairview), David Thompson Bluegrass Festival and Shady Grove Bluegrass Festival (Nanton). They have also performed at the Agrium Spruce Meadows Bluegrass Festival, Foothills Bluegrass Music Society, various Stampede Breakfasts, plus a variety of private functions.

Wild Rose Xpress recently released their first CD, Wild Rose, which contains original and traditional tunes along with some of their favorite bluegrass songs.

Steeped in traditional bluegrass, this fun loving group features: Sandy Hirth, guitar, lead and harmony vocals, Karl Lingwood, banjo, resophonic guitar , lead and harmony vocals, Tim Babey, mandolin lead and harmony vocals, Randy Jones, fiddle and harmony vocals & Morgan Luchinski, bass and harmony vocals.
